I was recently telling a visitor that Bologna did once have an English restaurant. They couldn’t believe it. Nor could I when I first heard about it. The restaurateur who opened it back in 2009 was convinced it would be a huge success. The Bolognese were convinced it would be closed within a year. Spoiler alert: they were right.
